I just picked up a 1990 f150 4x4 with 89,500 miles on it it starts good and runs really good but idles slow maybe 100 rpm slow, it has efi at ac. Also the guy I got from had a remote starter put in at a Ziebart dealer. any suggestions ?

 

I would start with checking the baseline timing and rpm. A Haynes or Chiltons manual would be a good book to get if you don't have one already.

 

thanks also this truck hasnt been used much in the last 6 months im going to drive it for a while, i put some injector cleaner in the tank and see if it helps,yes i have a manual. ty

 

also is there a way to adjust the throttle cable ?

 

i have a 89 5.8 and it idles really low and it will stall but my time is out but i have know idea what it should be set at does any one know and can u expalin how to get it to idle higher thanks darren
