Oil Leak

I hate to beat a dead horse, and I know a lot of the topics like this one are beat up on this board, but I just saw a half dollar size oil spot on the garage floor. I haven't checked the underside of the engine because its wet and snow around here. Is the consensus to leave it till its bad or take it in. 06 bought in Sept with 3100 mi. oils been changed once by me, motorcraft 15w40.

My '05 sprung a leak at 400 so I figured I better take it in right away (first week I had it). Sprung another leak at 4000. Warranty covered all the work. So unless you need the truck every day, take it in and ask for a loaner. Check the usual spots, front seal, rear seal, glow plugs, etc. Usually the leak is a minor inconvenience only. But it still is a hassle anyway you look at it.

The horse is a living horse.

Don't feel to bad about beating that horse ..... He has been beat before, many times by lots of owners

None of us owners have found the tool to beat the horse with that keeps the horse from leaking oil.

Some of us are looking for the horse's original owner.

If found, the original owner (the one that sold us the horse) likely will get a severe thrashing by a multitude of owners.
