antifreeze around muffler?
Hey all! My truck is an 01 f150 4x4 4.6l std cab. 65,000mi., When I went outside to shovel our fresh blanket of snow this morning i noticed a small puddle of greenish yellowish antifreeze under the muffler and a little on the side if the muffler itself....The truck has no other indications of any mechanical problems...my first thought is the heads...or the gaskets...any suggestions would be appreciated! Guess I might have break down and go the good ol' boys at the dealership...

If it's under warrenty, I'd take it there now. I don't know, but it sure sounds like a head gasket to me. And if it is leaking into the cylinder, don't let it sit for more than a day, antifreze can cause the ring to seze and lock up the motor. Some times you can tell by watching the over flow/ fill bottle after the engine has heated up. Turn it off and you may see/hear it bubbling/blowing back into the bottle.
