Question bully dog?

I have been reading on here a lot in the last 3 weeks ever sence my benz left me stuck in first again, but that is neightor here nor there. My question is this, there is a lot of talk of banks, edge, superchips etc on here and the pros and cons of each but I havent seen any talk about this company. Is it because they are good or bad or just no one has tried there products.

Im just wondering, not trying to get internet war started on computer programmers or anything like that. Just wanting to read real world stuff if you know what i mean.

I think Bullydog is a great power chip/programmer. I have the Bullydog Power Pup Downloader, Air intake and a 4inch no cat exhaust system. My truck is a 04 F350 6.0, my gain with the mods i have 520 hp from stock 325 hp. I have never had a prolbem with the system and they back it up with a full warrenty. It also has the lowest EGT'S than any other system, from what I experienced. I recommend buying the Bullydog you won't be let down!

i think because Banks is so big and there is more of them out there the chances are your going to hear more bad things about them. Its just the laws of average. While Banks would be your more conservative power system (supposedly safer) it makes good power. We sell both and I have to tell you we dont get many problems from either company. Infact we havent ran into a problem that couldnt be fixed with just a few phone calls. They both will give you a smile you cant turn off right away thats for sure.

yeah right, you sure do have 520 hp. you cant take each claim of horsepower from the exhaust, the intake, and the chip, and add them up to come up with 195 hp. for example: stacking a 100hp tuner on top of a 125 hp fueling box will not give you 225 extra horsepower. it would MAYBE dyno out as 170hp more than stock.

have you had it dynoed? id sure like to see the sheet.

strokin_it7.3 Do you need to bust his ***** like that?

I think you are correct on the numbers but cut him some slack. He probably hasn't had it dynoed and is just going on what he was told from a sales/counter person.

Why not say

"btw your hp numbers seem a little high for the mods you listed, are you just adding up the number on the packaging from the products or do you have some things you are not telling us?"

SCT--13's with exhaust and intake have been done several times. very low 14's are NO problem and EGT's are EXTREMELY safe.

I said 520 hp because thats what the Bullydog monitor said. But what did you mean by 125 hp fueling box, is that what is already on the truck to move the fuel?

no that was just an example i gave. an example of a "fueling box" is the Edge Juice/Attitude. when stacked with a tuner (evolution), you arent going to get the sum of the two claimed horsepower. for instance, i had this setup on my truck, and it wouldnt give the added 100 hp from the tuner and 75 from the juice. it averaged out to about 120 total.

I think for some reason my truck is the anomoly, it just doesn't like the Bully Dog. I have the Power pup programmer and it does make plenty of power, I was impressed with that. If I put in anything over 50%, the truck just can't get it to the wheels. Right now even at low program the truck shifts REALLY bad. Slips between gears and is just horrible.

When it was running at its best at 50% power uploaded it was measuring 450 hp and 560 torque (via the Outlook Monitor guage). Of course, that is not dyno, but it sounds good! lol. I don't know why it doesn't run on my truck. I'm sure I'm the only one, but if anyone is looking for a Power Pup, I could sell you mine!

My truck- 04 Excursion, Airaid intake, 4" B & B Exhaust (no cat), Bully Dog Power Pup w/ outlook monitor.

I had troubles with mith my 04 even with a shift program (ie Superchips) it would slip and go on and eventually the reverse planetary went out and burnt the clutches up. It was fixed under warranty and never had the problems again.
