Welcome home and "Thanks" for showing what our soldiers are really capable of. All the good and goodwill you have done.
I do realize no one is quite the same coming back. And I dont mean this in a bad way. That there will be adjustments to be made from what you went through there, mentally and physically. As much from being in the Army for so long, as from anything you went through there.
If nothing else, you will find you cant "pig" out like you used to before you left. Some friends welcomed back their son from his stint in Armored there. Made him a big dinner of porkchops, potatoes, veggies and he could eat only a fraction of what he used to. His stomach shrunk!
Next week will be my last week in Iraq. I'm finaly going home. It's been a looooooong year but well worth it I think.
See ya back in the States.

Got an email today, Bryan's left yesterday (providing I read it right) and should be back stateside in 3 or 4 days and home home a week or so after that. I'm going to post a link for now and maybe I'll be able to post the mp3 later.

Great to hear you're coming home, I have two friends in the army and I know how hard it is on you guys to be away from your family and friends for such a long time. Thanks to you and all the people who serve to protect our country.
Welp, I'm back at the house. Feels weird. It's nice being home again, but there's been a lot of changes I'll have to get use to. I adjusted quickly to the time change but still havent adjusted to not having my weapon with me 24-7. I keep freaking out for a second thinking I lost it or left it somewhere. The other day I was in a store and didnt like the was some guy was acting, I reached around to grab my weapon but it wasnt there. That was a weird feeling. A lot of guys tell me they did stuff like that when they first got back. I'll get over it.
Anyway, thanks again for yall's outstanding remarks and support. My family and I appreciate it more than you can know. Yall take care now, I'm gunna go fix something on my truck. Dont know what yet, just havent been able to do that for over a year!!!!
