Squeaking Issue

Recently, one of my belts decided to squeak. It will only do it when the engine is idleing, but I have an issue with squeaks, they really get on my nerves. I am pretty sure it is coming from the AC but I don't know how to fix the problem, I tried oiling and that provides a temporary fix. Any ideas?

don't oil or lube, it will worsen the problem in the long run and with future belts. Replacing the belt is the only fix now. There is an article on squeaky serpintine belt on the home page of FTE. I would read that, I found it quite helpful.

My A/C compressure squeaks when it is enguaged even with a new belt.

did you use a scotch brite pad and brake cleaner before replacing the belt? Just a thought...
