New Bed

I know i ask to many questins and all but does any one know of a good place to get a bed for my 95? I live in Hell called Pennsylvania and the salt the hell out of the roads so all the beds here are rusted through in the fender area. I am willing to travel for one with NO RUST and NO DENTS. But it would have to be in excelent shape.

Go to the yellow pages and search for junkyards in the Atlanta area. Zipcodes in the 30000-30100 area. Look for locations within a few miles of I-285, the prices are usually very cheap.

www.pullapart.com is very good though they usually do not have newer Fords. That is more for the expensive places that buy the vehicles and part them out themselves.

Makes me glad to have fiberglass sides fenders on my Flareside - no rust to worry about.

Good luck finding a rust free box. Maybe you could find a dent-free one and patch up the rusted spots? Just a thought.

another place to check for clean pickup beds are wrecker manufacturers. i got a bed for a friends 97 F250 for $250. brand new bed, sitting in a garage with 29 others of various year and makes for 7 years. they get trucks in, and pull the beds off to put the wrecker body on. most owners never come back for the bed.

Sandy Lake Auto wreckers normally have a ton of beds (they are up towards erie though), Stoystown Auto wreckers (in stoystown, toward somerset) used to get truckloads of beds from the south. Connellsville Autowreckers noramlly have a bed or two on ocassion. Since you live in little washington, you might see if Rt 19 Auto wreckers have any decent beds, or see if they ship them in. You probably pay $500-700 for a decent longbox (if you can find one).

There is also that salvage yard on Old Brick Rd in West Alexandria, I think it is Sechrists auto or Bob Cossells auto..

I had a hard time finding the sandy lake salvage yard's number, but:

VCM Salvage (724) 376-4093

Fayette Used Auto & Truck Parts Inc
RR 119, Connellsville, PA
(724) 628-1333

Butchko Brothers Inc
1094 Dunbar Rd, Connellsville, PA
(724) 628-3387

This yard is way out in the sticks, but they sometimes have some good stuff.

Smalley Auto Wreckers
500 Dunbar Ohiopyle Rd, Dunbar, PA
(724) 277-8976

And this is a local yard, they can probably located you one thru a search.. they've done that for me before.

Toll Gate Auto Parts Co
Old RR 30 W, Greensburg, PA
(724) 834-5800
