Possible boot boost leak.
I currently have my Y pipe out and did some minor fileing to ensure a good seal especially at the orange engine boots. Notice the surface protrusions(about 1mm-2mm). About 5 minutes with a hand file and BINGO!...nice smooth surface
for a good seal. I'm wondering if the pipe/turbo mating area leaks(metal to metal) and could use some pipe compound?

There is supposed to be a rubber o-ring between the turbo and the manifold. Was yours missing? It should be in the turbo outlet flange.

Yep...a little vaseline does the trick on o-rings.
Spray the inside of your boots with a little hair spray before you reinstall and you'll eliminate those popping off too.
