A friend of mine has a 2005 Ford F-250 Harley Davidson with a 6.0. He did his first oil change @ 7500 miles yesterday. I regretfully warned him about using only OEM FILTRATION PRODUCTS AND LUBRICANTS. Regretfully, he paid no attention to me and used a Wix Filter and Pennzoil Long Life oil and his warranty is now void. I feel bad for him hopefully nothing will happen to his truck. Although the products he used meet the specs of the motor he did not use a RACOR filter nor did he use Motorcraft or Rotella so essentially he has NO warranty. All I said to him is I told you so........ I think it may have been voided before the oil change also because he changed the in-dash head unit out so I am still wondering if the electrical system is still warranted? Can anyone answer my question on that?
You guys much honestly think I am serious. I sit here and laugh almost every post I make because of the ignorance of peeps like Beachbum who think you MUST run a motorcrap filter.
Well then, perhaps your wish of 01/12/06 will be granted.
