I have a 1979 F150 Supercab, 351M c-6transmission. Hills never used to be a problem while I lived in Louisiana. But, I will be moving to Idaho. I know the eengine and transmission will handle the mountains just fine. But, will the brakes handle my 27' Dutchman Fifth Wheel? I think the gross weight is 9500lbs.

I had a '78 F150 Super Cab with a 400 and C6 fulltime 4WD. I pulled a 30 foot Sportsmen out west many times with no problems. Of course the trailer had brakes as well and the truck had the dual piston front calipers.
