I wouldnt know, never had to wear them. I wore glasses as a child and wanted contacts but no contact prescription was available for the condition. I also found out as I was entering my teen years that the glasses werent really necassary either, took switching doctors to find that out.
It takes me 15 minutes to put mine in lol. Mine are only cosmetic though, I like having blue eyes
Be carefull only taking them out once a month, my step-brother did that and one night they got infected. He woke up and couldn't open his eyes for 5 hours, and then when he finally could open them he couldn't look at any light because it hurt too much. We had to take him to the hospital.. no fun.
I have the contacts you take out every night and put in every morning, and so does my girlfriend. I have blue/brown eyes (dark blue at a distance) so i don't wear them as cosmetic but rather as to improve my poor sight. My contacts only hurt when A. I left them in all night when i went to bed, B. i didn't have any solution to put them in one night. and that's the only time they hurt unless one had a tear in them. It only takes me a minute to put mine in and even less time to take them out. My girlfriend and i both have contacts cause we both hate glasses. Follow what the eye doctor says.
My brother leaves his in for the duration. I think he's crazy, but they don't bother him. I do the every night/morning thing and it doesn't take but less than a minute
You just get used to it, and then its like they're not even there. I would LOVE to get laser eye surgery, but it is pretty expensive. Maybe after I am out of school I will get it.
Depending on the type of contact, and the air circulation to the eye, i can't stand leaving them in longer then a day personally. They are way better then glasses.
