Any one ever swapped a f250/350 drive train onto a f150?

The drive trains (Engines, Trannies, XCases) were basically the same for all models of the F-Series. Are you talking swapping out 1/2 ton axles and suspension for 3/4 and or 1 ton?

Depending on why you want to do this, you are most likely FAR better off just buying a bigger truck if you need one. There are substantial differences between the two trucks outside of the suspension. Brakes are much bigger are are better equipped to stop a heavy load, and the frame is stronger. The frame is subject to enormous stress while towing. It goes through constant cylces of compression and stretching whenever you stop, start, or hit a bump in the road.

If you're thinking that you can put 3/4 ton axles on a 1/2 ton truck and get the load carrying capacity of a 3/4 ton, it doesn't work that way.
