Installing a Traction Lock Unit
hello...ive been wanting to install a ford racing traction lock unit in my 87 f-150 4x4 5.0 aod 3.55 8.8. havent done much rear end work, so what all would i have to do? is it a hard job? thanks

measure the back lash before you tak the carrier out and reinstall tyhe trac loc to the same back lash reading and make sure you get enough shims in the sides of the carrier. If you have enough shims you will have to pry the carrier out and you will get a feel for this when removing your old one.
