Anyone have pictures of a ccv mod on a 1997, with the metal stock connection piece (where the bypass goes into) removed? I installed a piece of black plastic in place of it, but don't like how the hose clamp fits on the plastic abs pipe. The connection needs to be a reducer from 4inch to 3 1/2 for all the rubber boots to fit properly. Thanks for any replies.

 

Would an exhaust reducer work there? Gets rid of the plastic, which deforms when you compress the inlet clamp.

 

I assume I could get one at a muffler shop. Seems like when I tighten down on the one end of the plastic fitting, it wants to roll off the end. Thannks for the reply.

 

That might just be the plastic collapsing. I just use a 5" long piece of 4" exhaust tubing and it works great.
