Question dome light issues

hi guys...just got my truck back from the dealer. I had a few electrical things I could not figure out....turned out to be the clockspring in the steering wheel. One problem I had that was not cured was the dome lights.....the map lights work fine, but dome lights do not work either witht he switch or the doors. the dealer told me that after some poking around they found that there is actually no wire going to the dome lights(and looks like there never was). I did see the contact area of the lights themselves...have to admit, they look like they have never had a connector on them. service manager said some cab-chassis (mine is one) came through like this for whatever reason. When I try the dome light switch on the dash, I can hear the relay...so obviously there is a relay present. anyone ever heard of this? Think it would be a serious pain to correct this?..just wondering, the rest of the truck is awesome and i would love to straighten this out. thanks, scott

Could be done, you'd have to get creative to fish the wires up there without removing the liner. I think it would be easiest done by removing the liner. I don't know where you would tie back into the harness at, but if it was an option to order without, then I think there would be a part number for the original harness and a connector somewhere to tie it into. maybe some one else can chime in with wire diagrams.
