Jacked up?

Did Ford produce any 73-79 models that were jacked up in back from the factory?

What do you mean, jacked up in the back?
If you just mean lifted? Then basically no, but 73-77.5 F-250s 4wds came from the factory a little higher than most trucks.
If you just mean had blocks in the back, then yes almost every 4x4 came with factory Blocks.

yes...the camper springs were a heavier duty on the 1/2 ton. I had one (78 f150)with camper springs, sliding rear bumper and factory cruise. Same number of springs, just heavier duty i.e. bigger gvwr

Mine is a 78 4x4 and it has 3" blocks on the back only. I was wondering if these were factory or aftermarket. I've heard that jacking a vehicle up in the back only is hard on the vehicle. I currently have a bumpy ride even though I have new shocks. The back almost seems to bouce up slightly. When I hit a dip in the road it seems to hit hard in the front of the truck. Even at fairly low speeds.

most all trucks are "jacked up" in the back from the factory about 1-3 inches higher than the front, so when they are loaded to their gvwr the bumper isnt almost dragging the ground, and the headlights are not pointed towards the sky

Are the blocks in the back square or do they have ears on them where the U bolts go through? Plus the facory blocks have a triangular piece that comes off the side of the blocks and points to the middle of the truck. That part hits the bump stops at full compression.

some have the ears for the u-bolts, some dont, but they should all have a ford stamp on them, and the triangular peice...
