nope just 3 clutches.....getting time for a tranny though synchros are pretty worn and bearings starting to get a little loud over 3k rpm's lookin for a good deal on a 6speed and tcase.
no real huge problems over the 200k, worst one was a lifter stuck bent a couple pushtubes, had to pull head to fix the hold down. that was about 150k miles
this is acutally not the original motor though i had another motor in it before this one when i still had my 95 dually. i had 530 hybrids, h2e turbo.....500+ hp and i had a valve float, piston bent valve and when it came back up again it cracked the head at the valve guide and broke the piston. i sold the motor complete with injectors and turbo, and trade for a stock motor since i was wanting to sell the dually since it was 2wd i wanted to be able to tow my horse trailer with the 97 i needed a more mild forgiving setup. so im running a much more mild setup, but still pushing the 400hp mark with daily driveability and towing ease. this motor has about 170k on it.
now i just gotta finsh getting the 05 front end on the truck.....
no coil spings.......radius arms yes....the factory spring buckets and the radius arms makes it real easy to air bag the front....jost working out some engineering issues with axle to radius arm brackets since the obs D60 driverside axle tube is shorter than the SD theres not as much steel to weld the brackets on so i have to make them bolt on around the tube and leaf spring perch. i dont trust welding to the cast on the pumpkin. nor do i wanna tear the axle down just to do it.
