Thanks - I am out of Pleasant Hill Mo, 1 hour south of KC.

I am more hardcore Lincoln MarkVII guy than trucks anymore - but I will try to hang out more often.

Here is my ride https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=417350

Really nice truck - how long did it take to restore and at what cost? I'm just curious in case I ever try something similiar.

I restored it when I was 15 in Oct 1995 - we finished with the Rhino Bed liner in April of 96...not long. I was young and had time It was a frame off restore. I am now 26 and don't plan of getting rid of it anytime soon. Instead, as you can see, I am just going to build the next one faster

The Green truck as 240ci I6 with a 4 speed on the floor. I have always dreamed about doing some big things with the truck, but have been "persuaded" (by the wife) to leave the truck alone as a tribute to my younger days and just build the one I want from another truck. So I will.

Cost...well, Mom and Pops had a hand in that back then but it took about 5-7K to do this. Paint goes a long way on a truck....when you think about it....they HAVE to be cheaper to restore than cars, and 10yrs ago parts were more plentiful than they are today. Paint is the expensive parts....trucks take alot of it.

The South 71 Cruisers have a cruise night the 3rd saturday April thru October. It averages about 300 cars and hit about 600 one event last year. I'll have to remember the P Hill cruise.
Thanks, Jeff.
