Asking this for a friend - he has an 86 F150 2wd. 302/auto (AOD?) He wants to ditch the fuel injection and throw a carb on his engine, but not sure if there is any way to keep the tranny working properly. Isn't it computer controlled?

Thanks.
The AOD is not computer controlled and it is not the best tranny either because it bypasses torque converter in 3rd and 4th.
