352 or 390?
I have a 1966 F-100 4X4 im not sure if engine is original, the stamp on the block says 352 but im told that many FE's shared this stamp. how do I tell? mailto:springalexander@hotmail.com

Check out the FAQ at the top of this forum for some good basic info on FEs. You really need to measure the stroke or identify the crank to know for sure what you've got.
Many FEs do have the 352 or a mirror 105 stamp. And, they can be a variety of cylinder bore diameters as well. If it is original, then it is a 352. The 360 and 390 showed up in the trucks in 68.

You can also check the date code of the block and heads. In most cases that tell the story and will give you a pretty good idea. On the block it's below the oil filter adapter. On the heads it's between the center two valve springs under the valve cover. Number/letter/number(s) it will look like ex: 6J13 = 66/sept/13 The first number is the year ending. If you see 2 dots under the first number it's a 69 or later casting. The next letter is the month A-M, Jan-Dec skipping the letter "I". A for Jan, B for Feb and so on. Last one or two numbers are the day of the month it was cast. There is also a finished machine date stamped into the block also. That is on the left side of the block under #5 cyl on the small flat block. You'll need to scape paint to see that one. G.

All good words of advice. For 65/66 year models, there were 3 engine options. 2 6 cylinder engines (240/300 CID) and the only V8 option, the 352. Assuming the engine is original then it is a 352. But you know what they say about "assume"....
