radius arm brackets or not??

i have a 79150 4x4 and i am going to be getting a 6" skyjacker lift. the tech at natltire.com told me i needed the radius arm drop bracket. can i not use it and get the 7* c-bushings, or do i need the brackets + the 7*'s??? i am confused because i thought the brackets were an option for 6" and mandatory for 9". i didnt know if this needed to be in the 73-79 forum or the 4x4 one.

Yes, you will need both the radius arm drop brackets and the 7* c bushings.
It is possible to get away with out useing them for a 4" lift, but I would stil use them for a 4". I am currently running a 6" lift with RA drop brackets and I'm pleased.

I bought my 4" Skyjacker lift from ntw about 5 yrs. ago, and was told that 7 degree bushings work fine for a 4" lift without the radius arm drop brackets, and that's what I did. He was right, I have had zero problems in 5 yrs., However, they said the 6" lift would require the brackets. Just a side note, I was very happy with ntw and their knowledge of the products they sell.

Would you need 7* C bushings if you use drop brackets? I would think you would need less than 7* if you use the brackets.

You need the 7* bushings and the drop brackets if your putting on a 6" lift. I know I sounds a little wrong, but that's what's needed.
