Door won't open from outside
I have a '95 F150 with 127,000 miles. Yesterday I tried to open the door and the thumb **** on the outside won't open it. The **** still pushes in, but does nothing. Can still lock/unlock with key and opens fine from the inside. Only other thing is the door has always been out of alignment with about (taking a guess here) 3/8-inch between the door edge and the body on the latch side, although it is level to (not sticking out from) the rest of the body. I suppose I have to pull the interior trip panel off so tips on that job would help too.

Thanks. Well I guess I really jumped the gun on posting this. Last night when it happened, I hosed the latch with CRC Power Lube and also hosed a bunch in around the plastic thumb button. Still would not open. Well this morning I went out and tried it and it opened right up and works so nicely that I hosed the other door too. I don't think it was frozen because it was around 25F when it failed and when it opened and only got colder in the night. I suppose the lube could melt a small amount of ice though.
