Engine Operating
I have an 86 F-150 with the 4.9 6 cylinder engine. I have been trying to locate what the optimum engine temperature is for operating on a daily basis. I live in southern Oregon and drive it everyday. If someone can let me know, that would be great.

when i put in my new rad last winter i went with the 180, because thats all our local store had in stock. I needed the truck rightaway to pull my parents truck out of a field. I get about 12mpg, if i change it out to a 195 would the mileage pickup a bit?
