Would a Kia Sephia be a good car to own? I noticed that they don't have very good resale value and according to the comments on CarSurvey they seem like a decent car if you buy the ones with a 5 speed.
One of my employees owns a 2002 Sephia, she loves it. Shes had a few problems with it but nothing major. Just remember that it is just a basic, cheap car, resale value shouldnt play into the desicion to buy.
Its a throwaway car.
A friend of mine had one, I think it may have actually been an '02, and as much as I expected it to, it didn't suck! It was actually a pretty decent little car.
That's one thing about owning a Kia cause there aren't alot of Kia dealerships around, I'm glad to hear that she's gotten good luck on her Sephia, I think that the later models have alot of style.

The Sephia's had a good amount of pep w/the standard transmission and they sure have alot of style, I wished that they still made them today.

Come on, with a 100000 mile warranty, and you can buy a base line model for 12000 new, its a hell of a deal. Now, that said, would I own one, no, I live in Detroit.
youre not kidding about resale, theres a 02 sportage in the local paper for 800 bucks
That has to be a rolling chassis missing something. I just traded my wifes 02 sportage with 70K on the odometer and got book value of $6500 on trade in. Other than my wife being stupid and rolling the drivers power window down in a torrential rainstorm, thereby frying the motor, it has been no problems. 90 percent of the problems you hear about Korean makes is due to the economic class that buys the majority of them and does not provide routine maintenace.
ALo note than when something breaks, it cost major $$$ to fix it, cause most of the parts you have to get from a dealer.
There's tons of aftermarket replacement parts for Kia now. If you're looking a one and are worried then look online and see what's avalible. partsamerica.com is a good place to start.
