Transmission Noise

I have a 2001 F250 SuperCab 4x4 Triton V8 (150K). I am having some major transmission noise mainly when the transmission is down shifting. Sometimes when up shifting. It does not happen all the time. Most often after getting up to 40 to 50 mph and then letting off the gas the transmission downshifts and make the noise. I am not sure what to check and where to start.
