Just recived an email back from ARTs rotors. He gave me a price of 564.00 for the front.Does this sound like a good price for there rotors. They also said that they will give any one from this form a 10% discount if they buy front and rear rotors.I just cant justify 854.00 for all.
Just ordered slotted rotors and Hawk pads from DPP for under $400.00 and that included shipping. ( 50.00) I guess you are having the warpage issue too.

Yep i sure am.And i tried everything so far. This is my last try.
Check out the Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads combination. So far the Cryo rotors have net been necessary for our customers and our own trucks, that's one of the main selling features of the ARTS rotors. You shouldn't need them unless you plan to really really be super hard on your brakes. If so the Powerslot Co. has a frozen rotors as well at approx 45.00 more per rotor.
We have had great success with the standard Powerslot/Hawk combo to eliminate the shake rattle and roll of the stock rotor design. Be sure to replace the caliper slide pins no matter what you buy. Call us of you have any questions on the Powerslot/Hawk parts.
Power Slot rotors are very good. You should be able to pick-up a set for the front for under $300.
I have 50K on my current set. Prior to that I was warping rotors every 10K.
One brand to stay away from is EBC. I put on a set of EBC 2 years ago and they were both warped out of the box. I contacted EBC and they said it was runout on my hubs and wouldn't do anything. I bought a set of Power Slot and they were perfect. The EBC rotors now hold down my pool cover..........
Hi mark i would like to try the hawk pads with the rotors that you speak of,but the only problem i have is that i have done my rotors a couple of times now and i dont want to do it again. So i furgured that i would go with the best that i can,as i dont want to be doing this again any time soon.
But if you guys have the cryos also i might want to do that. Can you PM me a price for the front power slots that are cryo and with the hawk pads.
Thanks
I got the performance rotors and best pads from napa. The rotors are drilled and slotted. Put them on about 70,000 miles ago. Checked them and they are fine. I carry a lot of weight too.
My father in-law told me to make sure that you torque to specs because if they are not the same it doesn't matter what you put on they will warp. Those torque bars people use are no good, use a torque wrench. He spent 35 years as a machinist for CSX making parts and repairing locomotives. I have done this religously since and have had no problems. Before, I was changing rotors and brakes like underwear! I think the whole thing cost me little under $300.00. Hope this helps.
I torque mine with a torque wrench.Still warped.I replaced everything on the brakes, including the calipers and pads.I bought it from ford as a whole replacement, braket, caliper, pads and slides were all one part.Pulled the old ones off and pop the new ones in.
Well guess what 3000 miles later their warped. Now im looking for the best replacment for the last time i hope.
I know the feeling! I changed rotors twice in two months. The last time I was pulling around 18,000 lbs. and the steering wheel liked to broke my arms. It was scary! I've got a friend with the same problem and another that has had none. We all carry pretty much the same weights too.
Well, I hope they fix your problem. Seems like Ford could do a little better in the manufacturing dept. on those.
