I just bought a 1999 f250 two days ago, loved every minute of it so far...much better than my old '95. However, the dealership didnt tell me about the security system that had been installed. They said that they had no idea and never had a problem with it. But now, somehow, my started has been disabled and i have no idea how to remove the security so i can go to work tomorrow morn. All that i know it that it is aftermarket. Can anyone help?
Welcome to FTE.
I don't know anything about aftermarket alarms.
That said, you need to provide more detail on what is installed on your truck so that someone who DOES know can have a hope of helping you. They vary from brand to brand.
look under the dash below the steering column for a reset button. push button in and hold while you turn your key to start.
this is how mine is setup.
