My 04 f-150 5.4L reg cab takes three days of a bit of driving before the gas guage comes up to the full end of the spectrum, after filling the tank. Whats weird is it used to come up immediately after turning the key off and then back on. Any ideas suggestions from anyone?
OK, maybe you need to call ghostbusters! There is some info on refueling in your owners manuel, my 04 did the same thing, but it cleared up after resetting the onboard computer! (before you ask) Disconnect the negitive side of the battery, leave it disconnected for a few minutes, then reconnect, this will reset the onboard comp.

fomoco,
He needs to diconnect that NEG terminal much longer than just a few minutes. The internal cpaacitors in the PCM will hold a charge for a while.
I don't know if this is your problem. In my 2000 150 I developed the same problem. In my case it was the fuel, contained to much sulfer which coated the sending units contacts. It made the gauge inside take a long time to respond. In my case, I changed fuel and added a bottle of red line fuel cleaner. It cleared mine up. This is a very big problem in later model corvettes. I hope this works for you.
