Simpleton question.

My stock 95 F150 has a 7 month old rebuilt tranny (Whichever is stock- 5D04 is what's on my tag and the tranny doesn't seem to have a tag on it-assuming that's the tranny code), 300 I6 with 2.73 gears.. Odd, I know, but that's whats on the tag.

Now, I probably wouldn't have asked this question but I recently tugged my Bronco with 39.5-15-15 TSLs about 2 miles without a flinch out of my F150. When I got it to my home, there were too many cars to work it into my driveway, so I moved the bronco with my hands, alone (Used the lugs on the tires to move it) with someone working the steering.

If I managed it onto a tow dolly (Put stocker wheels on the front), do you think I would be able to tow it about 100 miles without any worries?

Thanks.

I think so. Just watch the distance between you and the caar in front of you.

My CPS went out on my 96 F350, at the time i didn't know it was a 10min fix, but my dad came to get me in his chevy astro and pulled my about 50 mi with no prob. we just took it easy

There are no big hills in Fla that I am aware of, so for a one time tow you should be alright. Get the smallest tires that you can for the front. I have run across some of the large ones will take up all of the straps that go around them.

If your bronk is auto remove the driveshaft at the rear end. I usually pull them over to the side and tie it to the chassis, leaving the front in the tranny to keep the fluid in.

good tow to ya
