let me try to explain the problem, ive got a 92 f350 7.3 e40d,welding rig.when i accelerate and shift through the gears and reach 3rd the truck makes a vibrating metallic noise similar to a u-joint.then about halfway between 3rd and 4th it stops.when i reach 4th it makes the same noise but goes away @ about 45 mph.i think i also feel a slight vibration from the floorboard from under the pedals.i have replaced all the u-joints. i recently pulled the built bed i have on the truck off and the noises got less.when i put the bed back on it started making the noises worse. also if i ease into the shift it dosent make as much noise as when i normally accelerate
ive just replaced the entire rear end as well.i spun the bearings.this noise was there before i replaced it .could it maybe be caused by a bad tranny mount letting the tranny move?. its not a real loud noise
