99 EXPY Trans Shift Solenoid

Has anyone change out the transmission shift solenoid? I have code P0755, discussed with three mechanics and tranny guys. They said it is easy to change and will resolve the problem. I ordered it from Ford, ($61 with tax) and was quoted over $250 to have someone do it for me. I will tackle it this weekend but wanted to ask if anyone has some experience with changing one. Mechanics told me drop the pan and unplug the solenoid. Simple. Any thoughts?

I took the chance and replaced the part myself. There is only one electrical part in the tranny and it was very easy to change. I picked up the part from Ford at $170 and had it back on the road in a few hours. The code cleared up and I have since put ~2000 miles on it.
