Mpg
I'm a new/used owner of a 2004 F250 Crewcab with the 6.0 and 3.73 rear end. I was lead to belive that I could see a big jump in MPG vs. my last truck the 2002 F250 crewcab with the 5.4 and 3.73 gears. In my 02 I averaged about 11-12 MPG and now in the 04 I'm only seeing 14-15 MPG. I know my foot has alot to do with it so I set out on a trip this weekend and set the cruise @71 for most of the trip. I filled just before the trip and just after it and I only got 15 mpg. I've hear stories and seen a few comments posted on this board and other places that bost 16-20 mpg. I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing or something that I should check. It seems petty to cry about those few miles but I need to justify to myself the trade in of my last truck.

Sounds like pretty normal mpg's to me. I had a 7.3 psd and averaged 16 mpg IF
I kept the rpm's below 2000. If I really babied it, I could get about 18 mpg on flat terrain, but since I live in the mountains, that didn't happen too often.
Drop your speed to 65 & see if it helps.
