Help Code P0603kam

Have a 2002 F350 Powerstroke. Installed Flip Chip from PPE. Test-drove truck. OK. Next morning, (cold morning with heater plugged in) started, turned to fast idle, ran for approximately 5 mins. died, Restarted. Died. Engine service light came on. Restarted. Died. Engine service light came on. Restarted. Proceeded to drive to work. Died. Restarted. Drove on to work place. Shut ignition off. Restarted. Left work place for lunch. Died twice before arriving home. Ate lunch. Restarted. Died twice. Next morning started (cold morning with heater plugged in) for warmup. Died. Would not restart after two tries. Disconnected Flip Chip. After two restart tries, started, drove to local Ford Dealership. Problem = replaced glow plug relay along with Code P0603KAM Fault. Has anyone had this problem? What do you recommend as far as re-installing Flip Chip? Thanks....moose06

Welcome to FTE's diesel forums moose06.

It sounds like you have a bad camshaft position sensor, though given the addition of the chip it may be that the contacts on the circuit board in the PCM aren't sufficiently clean.
