I'd like to know where everyone stands on the stock sound system in these trucks. I have 4 options.
1.) I have a stock sound system and I'm happy with it.
2.) I have a stock sound system and I'm not satisfied with it.
3.) I have a stock sound system because the sound just isn't important to me.
4.) I went aftermarket and happy I did.
I never posted a poll before, so I don't have a clue what this will look like. Moderators, please look it over and fix it up as needed.
Never happy with stock systems. Went with an Alpine IVA-D310 indash DVD player with 7" monitor and have a 5 channel Alpine 5.1 Dolby theatre amp on its way. Plan to go with Alpine Type R components.
When I was a lot younger I had 8 12" subs in a wall built into the back of my '90 Isuzu Rodeo that would hit 168dB, but now I don't even listen to music. In fact, I don't even think the station buttons are programmed on the stock radio. Although I do still have the 50 watts@4ohm Lanzar 50C that pushed those 8 subs, somewhere in my garage.
Went with upgraded speakers all around, bazooka tube behind seat and flip down 10" screen, aux jacks and a Kenwood DDX7015 upfront, which meets my needs and more (thats with no amps). Gonna do samething when new SD emerges in next few years.
Im rollin stock on the radio end as of now, but, stock still sucks. I voted stock sucks because I have only had the truck a week and have been focused on the performance mods right now. After I get my water meth I am gonna go with a in-dash DVD player and some 10's behind the seat.
I got a Garmin NUVI for Christmas that is really nice. It's portable from vehicle to vehicle, mounts anywhere and is about the size of a deck of cards. I charge the battery in advance so I have no cords and I have it suction cup mounted to the windshield at the top next to the rearview mirror.

I really enjoy listening to MY music. That is why I opted for MP3's and Satellite over just local radio and single CD. Also there are low frequencies in a lot of the music I listen to that the factory speakers just can't reproduce. I don't crank the sub to shake the neighborhood but I certainly notice a difference.
