which front end do i have?

i have a 2002 f250 SD 4x4 it is a 5.4 auto. does it have a dana 50, or a dana 60?, i have read in places that in 02' the front was upgraded to a 60 on the f350, and seen the same comment about the f250 in a place or two. anyone able to tell me which one i have?

D60 for sure.

I made a post about this for my 02 f250 5.4 and the majority said D60. I posted a pic of the axle tag and apparently if there is a 248 code on it then its a D60.

Yes, you have a D60. In late 2001 FORD changed from the D50 over to the D60.

The 248 means nothing. Its the BOM number on the upper left.
