i will look in my manual again for you to see if i missed anything.

ok, i just looked at every page about speedo and cannot find anything i have not already posted. it may have a seperate rom for english or overseas {metric).

i suggest dealer or a canadian f150 owner who has had this problem.

good luck.

No luck

I've scoured a bunch of other sites and haven't found anything. Anyone else know how to change this back?

Thanks,
Ryan

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. When it converts to kilometers it causes the readings to be incorrect regardless of what size tires I run.

im sure this will not help any but. I allways felt mine was off by a little when i got he truck. I was only getting 10 mpg. I went on a trip and used my gps unit to track the miles. When i finished the od said 166 miles and my gps unit was at 234 miles. The problem is in the new tires i put on. so if your running different size tires than stock its going to be off. I just wish i could figure out how to adjust it

the english/metric and revision number will display, the last number is the lockout count, when it is zero it cannot be changed again.

press and release reset button again and psom convrsion constant (without the decimel point ) followed by the word CAL will be displayed

press and release the odometer select button as many times as neccesary to change conversion constant to the correct value.

note: pressing and releasing the reset button to lock in the new conversion constant reduces the # of times by 1. if you change your mind turn the key off before you lock in new constant

when correct value is displayed in odo windowpress and release the reset button to lock in new conversion constant

key off. remove ground wire

it does not say exactly about english or metric.

hope this works.
I was trying to do this to recal my speedo, and adjust my milage number if possible (Not original milage shown on cluster). I have 31x12.50-15 tires, and wounted to recalibreate for those, and it shows 189,500 miles, but the last clutster read 471k miles when it went out 20k miles ago.

I can get it to sweep across the guage, and can get the revision unit set, but then it get's to the screen 972 CAL. It basically freezes up.

Any Idea know how to get past this, you're help is really appriciated.

your speedo could have been reset the maximum number of times.

Is there a way to undo that? Undo solders, wires, etc? When working properly is there a way to change the odometer reading? Does it count as one time set when you mess up and cut the key off?

THanks,

John

I'll just try and fix my old cluster, it's just collecting dust, and I know it's never been messed with due to the fact that I've never messed with it and the truck is a 2 owner (My dad from '94-00 and me from '00-?), and it's never been into ford service dept for anything because we do all the maintinance. Thanks quicklook2. I appreciate the help.

It just went lifeless. Like it's not getting any power, nothing on it works. I figured it had done good for having 471k miles on it when it went out. When you have that many miles on something you don't even put a effort into fixing it, you just go buy new (Better used) parts. Or so I mistakingly though.

Same problem here but i want to go back to overseas setup...

I realized later that the speedo was now way off as well and then I saw that the "miles" were ticking away awful fast so I checked the mile markers on the highway and sure enough I was doing about 10 for every 6 actual miles.

At that point I came up with the theory that my odometer had somehow changed over to kilometers from miles.

Can anyone PLEEEEASE help me change it back?

Thanks,
Ryan
Hello Ryan i know it's an old post, but i ran into the exact same problem, but the other way around... My cluster is in KMH but now the odo and the speedo reads like its in miles... I think is the same thing... Switching the "E" for english to "o" for overseas on the PSOM!!

Did you find the solution??
Anyone else can help?
i have a f150 1992.
Im from Canada and the truck was made in canada too...
