Super Heavy!

I just took the Silver Bullet (04 F350 Diesel Crew long bed) on its first hunting excursion pulling my 2500 lb tent trailer. Man, that thing tows GREAT!. The trailer made the ride more tolerable. If you know So Cal then you might be familiar with the Grape Vine. 60 65 MPH no problems. I really like the Tow/Haul option, it helps slow things down when needed without riding on my breaks. Got 13 MPG. One thing to note, 100 of those miles was either in stop and go traffic or in pea soup fog not going vary fast but varing speeds.

I think I made a good choice in this truck!

My thoughts exactly. I sure hope he doesn't overtax that little truck with that enormous trailer. Just kidding man, just enjoy it.

Overkill what are you talking about? My prior Chevy with a 350 would crawl to 45 when climbing that grade of hill.

Man, the PSD has power to spare, I better watch it or I'll start collecting tickets.

I agree! The tow/haul feature is great and it really saves on riding the brakes on those long downhill stretches. It must have been fun coming back up from the Bakersfield side and passing all those Chevys in the slow lane, LOL! Enjoy your truck.

Mark,

Don't get a bigger trailer, I'd have to look at at all the time!

Good luck with the new truck.

Wink

My buddy and I were laughing our behinds off when we passed a yuppie in his H2 going up the grade. I bet KevCB would like to look out his window at a 30 foot toy box. Hey, when you gonna put some lift on that truck? It looks kind of small. Is Jr on you to step up to diesel?

I got her right where I want her, check the gallery! We might come back from the RV show and park a 30 footer in that nice spot across the street. Thanks for the great idea! Junior knows V10 will "get er done."

Great choice, I use my F250 to pull our Fleetwood Tent trailer. Funny story, last year we went to a family reunion near Tahoe. We towed our 3500lb Tent trailer and one of our cousins arrived with a 28 ft travel trailer (about 6K) behind his Kia SUV. A comment was made that we should have swapped trailers. StevenG
