electrical problems
my 88 f-250 has been eating up my starter silonoids about every 2-6 weeks and its bugging me. no matter if i buy cheap or premium they still fail. Does anyone know what the heck is wrone with my truck?

how do they fail? i would say check voltage at the lead from the ignition while someone holds the key on the start positon, if its low, that that could cause excessive amperage draw, and heat it up alot.

If the contacts are burning up, then I would agree with the previous post, it's probably a bad starter.
