Ok I got my WW on about two week ago did it on the truck frist time on a diesel wow that was easy, and may I say it is the best sound in the world! Anyway yesterday i was going up a really good grade passing everyone and thing as i got to the top i asked her for a liitle more to pass the only person left and she did it with ease. Then at the top i hear what sounds like a timmer going off (ding) your done. but the truck keep giong down the road fine no power loss, but there is a HUMMING/WHINNING noise as you acc it get louder but only at higher RPM it is just a little louder than the WW.
Could it cut in a boost boot, trans,????
I want to just Hear WW again!!
Thanx guys for any help.
As matter of fact i just checked the wheels inside the housings and there is no contact it doesn't sound like a belt ,but i'll look it almost sounds like a trans hum???
just maybe, when you gave it that little bit more the compressor blades flexed and rubbed the housing. check the housing bolts and make sure they are all there and the retaining nut for the compressor. I just hate when things go ding and buzzzzzzzzzz....
