351C cracks?

351C cracks?
I've heard a lot of stories that the 351C engine was prone to cracking. Then, I've heard others say that they've put 100,000 or more miles on theirs with no problems. What's the truth on cracking problems with this engine? I'm going to look at a 2v version next week, and was wondering what to look for? Thanks

not under normal conditions. there were some 351M/400 blocks from the Michigan Casting Center cast before march of 77 i think? that were pretty much guaranteed to crack in the lifter valley. the only time a Cleveland engine cracks is if it has been bored, and is making 450+ hp, they tend to crack cylinder walls. most other engines will and do too under such extreme conditions.
