I had thought that the running lights on my boat trailer were not working, but the running lights of the trailer connector is not working. This is a 2002 Excursion diesel 4x4 if that matters. I think I have the heavy duty towing package. When I connect the trailer hitch, the turn signals and brake lights work, but not the running lights. Oh, and the rear running lights on the Excursion work.
You have a seperate feed and relay for the trailer running lights. Look for a fuse blown under the dash, or possibly under the hood. If you have a fuse box under the hood it will be on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

Well, Franklin, I guess I know why you're a moderator... because you're so smart!!!
You nailed it - a blown fuse, which I would never have considered. Here is what you saved me:
1. Spend 1 hour driving to Brandon Ford, talking to the service advisor, and getting a ride back from my wife.
2. Mechanic would have charged me at least 1 hour diagnostic time + the .1 hour to replace the fuse.
