installing a 4.5" lift
decided to spend the extra money up front and do it right the first time. All the
parts supplied are very well built and for the most part installed easy.I had a problem with the new hanger hitting my 4'' exhaust,so I had to be ground
down the top a couple inches, and banged a depression in my exhaust pipe for the bolt to clear. Now the downpipe doesn't rattle on the hanger bolt.
Theres a bunch of odd metric sockets I needed and I'd still be taking the old suspension off if I didn't get a 4' cheater bar.I got a good idea of what tools I
needed by reading urekaboy website,I think he's a member here?
It took me about two days to install everything, mostly by myself, and mostly
in 25 degree alaska weather,on my snowy driveway!!! I guess I finally did something right because the alignment shop said everything checked out straight.I drove the Alcan to phoenix the day after I got the lift all on and
the truck laughed the whole 4500 miles.
