7.3 timing with pulse adapter

Have a Mac Tools pulse adapter that works well on my 12 valve Cummins. Does the lower hole with the slash and zero represent tdc when aligned with the balancer mark? There is an extension on #1 injector line I have seen referred to as a timing adapter. I see no use for this, am I missing something? From what I have learned on this forum, 8-9* @ 2000 RPM hot? Does the pulse adapter method seem accurate for the 7.3? Will check before and after injector replacement. Truck is a 93 turbo. Anything I missed? Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge. Jeff

Lower hole with line and 0 for timing mark....... My tech just cleans and clamps the line just before the adapter.......
