Cb Radio Installation

Hey guys,

I'm thinking, would it be possible to install a cb radio in the front dash of a lariat f150 where the ashtray is? Do y'all think it'd be possible without ruining the wood grain and the dash it self or drilling too many holes? Also with the wiring where could one run it through like that? Thanks in advance.

for a trip we placed one on top of the dash where it drops into a depression. It was a small RS one and we ran the antenna wire out the rear window. I think one could be hooked up there and a cover of somesort fabricated and the wires up from behind the dash.

dont know about the ashtray as that would be a PIA to modify I beleive.

The installation, no matter where, would depend on the model of CB Radio you would purchase. Size, vertical and horizontal measurments would dictate an easy or difficult installation. Plus, the location of the mic plug on the Radio.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Any more input will be appreciated. It would not be a large CB, horizontal, and the mike plug is in front.
