Other transportation?

What kind of other rides do you guys have? With gasoline exspensive and my FE powered trucks thirsty, I'm trying to fix up an escort diesel that has a really rusty body but gets almost 50 mpg.If I can get it doing okay it will be a cheap ride to work and back when there is no snow. How about the rest of you? DF

1967 F100
2000 Ranger XLT Supercab
1998 Escort

Got rid of 85 Aerostar and 73 F100 this year. 93 Escort met it's death in a collision with an Isuzu Trooper.

Other transportation?

Got a 79 F100 pick up (mostly wood now, though) with 356K and still (barely though)running and road legal; an 81 F250 plow truck (strictly a yard truck for plowing our 1.5 mile road-seriuos frame rust and only 105K); an 85-86 F250 4x4 (recently 302 EFI dog and now a 300-6 carb) with back-up plow that was a full time job to keep on the road and is now a daily driver (good-bye EFI); an 87 Bronco daily driver (with new 351-long story);....and the best vehicle I've ever had or known next to my old F100.....an 89 Olds Cutlass Cierra (245K) v6. Sorry...but it has been far more dependable than any Ford (and I've had plenty)I've owned in the past 19 years. I'd still prefer a Ford truck (never owned anything else)...but a car...N0 Another Ford truck? I used to be brand loyal and (unless its a pre-'80 I'd have to think long and hard. Bottom line is....They All Suck When They Don't Run.
Very truly yours,
Skippy

All I have is my two trucks:
1979 F150 4x4 Ranger package 351M C6 (Daily driver)
1959 F250 4x4 Custom Cab 292 4spd. (Fun)

Trucks I've had:
1959 F100 Custom Cab 3 spd. (My first vehicle)
1979 F150 351 C6 (Donor truck)
1978 F150 Ranger XLT Bronco (Left with the ex-wife)

1989 Ford Taurus wagon (girlfriend's car that I really hate working on) but it fits in parking garages and places where my trucks won't.

79-150 4X4 w/460 C-6 NP205
83-Ranger w/2.0L 4-speed
90-Honda CBR1000F first ever "new" ride-13 miles when purchased.
00-Suzuk DR400Z second ever "new" ride-still breakin' her in.
00-E-350 SD "bucket truck" w/34' lift-work only! They got this to replace a '66 F-500 with a 42' lift, only had a tick over 33K, unsafe lift unit(your suppose to kill or rebuild after 15 yrs., this was never done!) I still miss the "roar" of the old beast! But, a small part still lives on-on the '79-the emblem with a "V" and an 8 inside it is now on my hood-get a lot of looks from those in the know!

Chuck,

If that's true then you would love to see our 1979 F-700 Fire Truck. It blows everyone's mind to see the 429-4V emblem right under the F-700 emblem on the fenders.

1988 F-150 Custom to XLT Lariat conversion, 5.0 EFI (formerly 300 I6), 5-speed M5OD, 3.08 rear gears (will be upgraded to 3.55's), Summit headers, Flowmaster muffler W/ dual 3.5" tips 24" long. Caution Customizing in progress, Watch for flying tools & Parts!

I have 2 daily drivers,

95 F-150 4x4, SWB, 302 5 speed (80,000 miles)
87 Honda Prelude Si (70,000 miles)

I also have these two in storage
85 Mustang LX, 3.8 V6 (Waiting for a 351W, T56 and Saleen conversion)
87 Toyota Tercel Wagon 2WD (FYI These are hard to find parts for in a 2WD)

But, I am seriously thinking about getting rid of Honda and Toyota and getting a new Mustang.

Les

1995 Grand Am (wifes car) never own another one of these.

1985 Honda 650 Nighthawk

1966 Fairlane 500. original 427/425hp car but has a 390 residing between the towers until I can find another 427.

Have owned a bunch of older fords and some newer ones. Like my current truck very well but always on the look out.
