Angry Emergency flashers not working

Hey gang, anyone know what the problem might be. Whenever I turn on the emergency flashers, only the front left signal (flasher) works. I have replaced the plug in flasher module (no change).

The truck is fairly new to me. The side lights (parking lamps) have not worked since I bought the truck (presume burnt bulbs). The signal lights under the headlights work fine, and it is only the front left that works in the emer flasher mode. The signals work fine all work, the brake lights work. They all work well, except when in the flasher mode.

do not know your year, but if you replace the bulbs, check for corrosion and/or a bad ground.

all the signal lights work, wouldn't it stand to reason that the bulbs are okay for the emer flashers as well? Anyway, sorry I didn't mention it is a F150 1992 4x4 I-6 300.

I'll check all the bulbs and grounds. Thank you for the reply.

Sounds like you have a bad Multi-Function Switch.

Are you sure you replaced the right flasher?

My flasher is on the backside of the fuse block. I have to take out a screw or two to lower the fuseblock enough to change it.

Yes, it's the flasher on the back side of the fuse block. I replaced it with a new one, and get the same result.

I am going to replace all the bulbs and check the grounds on tuesday. I hope it isn't the multi function.

Thanks for your help

darn, there goes the easy fix...
If the signal lights work then its not the bulbs or grounds; those are common to both. Your problem sure sounds like it is the switch, esp since the flasher is working for one of the lights.

maybe I misunderstood things, but in a thread related to fixing the right rear blinker in my father's truck (2001 f-150) I was told it may be the multifunction switch. But I was also told that if the blinker stays on and clicks it isn't the multi function switch. of course his problem was merely a falty bulb, but it caused me quite a hassle.

Could somebody please clarify? Does this ruling only work one way and not the other?

Good luck!

I do not know about a 2001 but I deducted your problem from the following diagram, see what you think.

I think I get what you mean. Man wiring gets confusing, you have to look at it for a long time before it starts to make sense. Thanks.
