i guess look and see if the amount of crud on it matches the valley and if it looks cleaner where it meets the valley on the pump then it may have been changed???
My lift pump is leaking I'am going to try keep running it that way for a little bit. I got the price for a new one which is 300 dollars CND I have to phone around to see how much difference in price. I doubt there will be
Usually the Ford dealer doesn't want anything to do with older trucks I doubt they would even have that in stock.
I have to go see the new mechanic that works in one of the shops here he drives a OBS PSD so he probably knows how to work on them. I'am not going to tempt it myself.
I changed my lift pump, bought it from NAPA for around 135. Been on a yr or so, everything doing good. Have good pressure and no leaks, what more can you ask for.
The OEM fuel line is blue. I would bet if the fuel lines are blue it has not been changed before.
