We just got a 72' Camper special it has 67,000 orginal miles. I don't know if it has been sitting out but would it be a good idea to pull the engine out and check the inside

Seriously, just check the basics and see how she runs. These old FEs aren't too picky (in near stock mode). drain and replace most of the fluids, and check out the fuel tank, lines and replace the fuel filter. If it sat for a long time the tank and lines could be trashed.
maybe we should rebuild the heads and clean it up a bit... lets go ahead and throw a cam in there.... may as well bore,ring,and bearing while it's apart... lol been there!!! enjoy the truck, they're great old rigs and easy to work on...
