I am not sure wear to put this topic So I will start here.
I am looking at buying a 1989 f250 ext cab (it is only the 2 door). I heard that the rear bench seats fold flat on these things, is that true, or is it only on the 4 doo r models? Also I have nto yet owned an extended cab (nor been in the back of one) if the seat does fold, how far does it ussually stick up.
I would look at the truck to find this out, but I have already talked to this guy, and I don't want to get his hopes up by asking about the truck too much before I have the cash to talk business, otherwise the price may go up on me.
it's most likely similar to my 94 F250 Super cab. The back will fold flat onto the seat.
The seat back has a metal surface to it and it gives you a shelf like surface. I was never really impressed very much with mine in the down position as I didn't really gain anything by doing it. So, I just left it up all of the time and laid a big towel on the seat to keep it clean and ready to use if need be.
On my '96 F150 ext. cab, the bottom flips over towards the front to lay flat and then the back folds down to make a tray in the full rear area. Both have metal backs also.
