Tranny cooler line
I have a leak in the tranny fluid line right before the metal lines go under the radiator and takes a 90 deg turn upwards to the tranny cooler. This appears to be coming from a short piece of rubber tubing joining two different pieces of line.
Is this thing stock, or did someone repair a break in the line here? What's the best way to replace this? That looks like fuel line with a couple of worm drive clamps and it's not doing the job.
I remember that leaked some before I had the tranny replaced. They ended up having it for another day largely due to the need to find a way to replace that joint that would hold up. It's leaking again, badly. Actually I don't know for sure what is leaking here, it's kinda splashed around. Are those 2 metal lines that screw into the bottom of the radiator tranny stuff too?
I have never seen a stock Ford vehicle with rubber on the transmission lines except in front of the radiator and attaching directly to the cooler.

High pressure transmission line, about $8 a foot from NAPA.

They will not, same deal as if you tried that on the power steering lines. What I have done when I have broken lines myself, if double flare both ends of the line, then use the transmission hose with regular clamps. That holds up pretty well.
